Responsible Official Brad Collins Position /Title Planning Director Date r252.1 (98v COMMENTS: Signature l XJ • • THRESHOLD DETERMINATION SOUTHCENTER MALL - VIDEO GAME CENTER (EPIC- 186 -82) The proposed action is.the=is,suance of a Conditional Use Permit for operation of a video game amusement center as a tenant within Southcente• Regional Shopping Mall. The arcade will contain approxi- mately 50 coin - operated devices. After review of the checklist by the various city departments, the Police have emerged as the agency most concerned about this action. It is their judgment that some risk to public safety is presumable in this case due to the age -range which the facility will attract, However, their suggestions for enhanced security are to be included: in the Conditional Use Permit process and need not be reiterated in the environmental documents. A Declaration of Non - Significance is recommended.
