All shoring/bracing is temporary to be installed prior to cutting window opening in the existing exterior concrete wall. The enclosed design drawing shows the location of the shoring GLB beam in reference to the wall opening, supporting posts and the layout of the bolt for the GLB. 2. The epoxy is EDOT or ET -HP as specified on the drawing. 3. The window opening is to be completely capped by the metal frame. A cut view of the metal framing is shown on the drawing. The metal channel is fastened to the existing concrete wall with 5/8" diameter drilled anchors at 32" o.c. The concrete panel is self supporting. However, the metal framing and TS post provide auxiliary support to the concrete wall panel. The window frame is to be attached to the metal frame. For clarification provide a cut view of the metal framing that appears to be welded at the corners to encapsulate the cut concrete around the opening. Is this to be a complete capped frame around the opening and how is it fastened? Is it in any part for the support of the concrete wall with that center "TS" post? Also the details on sheet D2 and D3 are inconsistent with the engineer's sketches. I assume the window frame attaches to the metal frame in question? Please include clarification in the cut view details. Specify quality control inspections for the welding. All welding to be done by a WABO certified welder.
