the committee meeting tomorrow night. Mr. Rosengren could not
stay for tonight's Council meeting.
Don Williams briefed the Council that on July 6, the City Clerk
opened five bids for the Showalter Sports Field Rehabilitation
Project. Tuefel Nursery, Inc. submitted a low bid of $176,760.00,
including sales tax. He said the basic work will include:
rehabilitating the existing baseball backstop; new under drainage
system for the full size baseball and soccer fields; new infield soil
mix; and an automated irrigation system added. The Three
Additive Alternates, which include the south diamond dugout
benches; the south diamond bleacher concrete pads and drainage
gutter; and the north diamond backstop and infield soil, come to a
total of $209,460 (WSST included), which will still make Tuefel
the low bidder.
REPORTS The Council agreed to forego Reports so that they could resume
discussion of the Comprehensive Plan.
