THE MOST UNIVERSAL MEANS OF DETECTING A L055 OF THE UTILITY 15 TO ESTABLISH AN OVER/UNDER FREQUENCY (8I ON) AND OVER/UNDERVOLTAGE (27/54) "WINDOW" WITHIN WHICH THE GENERATORS ARE ALLOWED TO OPERATE. WHEN THE GENERATORS ARE SUPPLYING THE LOAD INDEPENDENTLY, THE FREQUENCY AND VOLTAGE WILL QUICKLY MOVE OUTSIDE THE OPERATING WINDOW IF THERE 15 A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LOAD AND THE GENERATOR. THE FOLLOWING GENERATOR PROTECTIVE RELAYING FUNCTIONS ARE INCLUDED AT EACH MULTILIN 484 RELAY; AT THE GENERATOR SWITGHGEAR: SYNCHRONIZER CHECK (25) SUPERVISE CLOSING (RE- CLOSING) AS A SECURITY MEASURE TO AVOID UNSYNGHRONIZED CLOSURE. GENERATOR ROTOR OVERHEATING DUE TO UNBALANCED PHASE CURRENTS. PHASE SEQUENCE VOLTAGE (41) - NEGATIVE SEQUENCE VOLTAGE. PROTECT AGAINST GENERATOR ROTOR OVERHEATING DUE TO UNBALANCED PHASE CURRENTS. INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS THE EXISTING TOUGH SCREEN MONITOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL SYSTEM PARAMETERS AND ALARMS. THIS DISPLAY 15 THE MASTER HMI. ENGINES GAN BE INDIVIDUALLY STARTED /STOPPED WHILE IN TEST MODE. PRESSING ANY EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON WILL STOP THAT ENGINE. (EG POWER ENGINEERING RECOMMENDS AN E -STOP FOR THE GENERATORS). EACH GENERATOR BREAKER HAS A BREAKER CONTROL SWITCH TO OPEN THE BREAKER. THE BREAKER CONTROL SWITCH ONLY ALLOWS MANUAL CLOSING OF THE BREAKER IF THE SYNC CHECK FUNCTION IN ITS GENERATOR CONTROL PANEL 15 SATISFIED. RED, GREEN AND AMBER LIGHTS INDICATE BREAKER POSITION AND CB TRIPPED. GENERATOR SECTIONS HAVE GROUND FAULT INDICATION ONLY. A GROUND FAULT 014 THE GENERATOR DOES NOT TRIP THE GENERATOR BREAKER. THE PRESENCE OF A GROUND FAULT 15 INDICATED AT THE MULTILIN 481 RELAY FOR ITS GENERATOR. GENERATOR ALARMS ARE ANNUNCIATED AT THE SWITGHGEAR. A RED LED ON THE DIGITAL DISPLAY INDICATES WHEN THE GENERATOR 15 IN ALARM. THE DISPLAY ALLOWS THE OPERATOR TO SCROLL THROUGH AN ALARM MENU TO DETERMINE THE ALARMING CONDITION AND RESET THE ALARM.
