These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is granted. 4: Readily accessible access to roof mounted equipment is required. 5: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code. 6: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building Department (206- 431 - 3670). 7: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building Department (206- 431 - 3670). 8: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. These devices shall be separately zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station supervision is required. (City Ordinance #2051) 12: H.V.A.C. systems supplying air in excess of 2,000 cubic feet per minute to enclosed spaces within buildings shall be equipped with an automatic shutoff. Automatic shutoff shall be accomplished by interrupting the power source of the air- moving equipment upon detection of smoke in the main return-air duct served by such equipment. Smoke detectors shall be labeled by an approved agency for air -duct installation and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. (IMC 606.1, 606.2.1) 13: Remote indicator lights are required on all above ceiling smoke detectors. (City Ordinance #2051) 14: Duct smoke detectors shall be capable of being reset from a single point near the alarm panel. (City Ordinance #2051) 15: Duct detectors shall send a supervisory signal only upon activation. Your new equipment exceeds the 240,000 Btu /h without considering the rest of the equipment in the building. Please show that the new equipment does not cause the building to exceed the 10% limit allowed not to have economizers or add economizers to the system. Do any of the units to be replaced currently have economizers? Exception 9 appears to be new in the 2009 code. If the units to be replaced did not have economizers and they were not required to have them per the code in effect at the time of their installation, then we would not require the new replacements to be upgraded.
