3: All mechanical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center

4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
5: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
6: Manufacturers installation instructions shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.
7: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila
Building Department (206- 431- 3670).

Recycle Building is provided with electric radiant heat c ntrolled by a single line- voltage thermostat. The
building does not have cooling, the building does not have an airside system. The thermostat serves as t
manual isolation device per NREC Section 1432.1. The building operate continuously 24 hours per day.

FENESTRATION, SKYLIGHTS, & DOORS: Per Energy Code Section 1312.1,
• U factors shall be "determined, certified, and labeled in accordance with RS -31 by a certified independent agency
licensed by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC)." If using this approach, provide manufacturer,
model number and NFRC rating on the drawings.
• "Unlabeled glazing and doors shall be assigned the default U-factor in Table 10 -6.': If using this approach,
provide all glazing characteristics on the drawings: list number of glazing layers, gap width, low -e coating, gas
fill, frame material, thermal break details per footnote 2 to Table 10 -6B.
OPAQUE ASSEMBLIES: Per Energy Code Section 1332,
• "The U- factors for typical construction assemblies are included in Chapter 10. These values shall be used for all
calculations." For example: see Table 10 -5A for metal stud walls and metal building walls /roofs, see Table 10 -7A

Dear Mr.Creegan,
This letter is in response to your written request for an extension to Application Numbers M12 -195 and M12 -196.
The Building Official has reviewed your letter and will not be extending the expiration dates.
The applications were submitted on December 18, 2012 and incomplete letters were sent out in response to both
submittals two days later, December 20, 2012. On May 3, 2013, one hundred and thirty -three days later, a response
to this letter was received in the Permit Center. Due to the lack of action, it has been determined that an extension
is not granted.
The applications are currently in the final assembly stage and will soon be approved. You will receive a telephone
call by Friday at the latest letting you know these applications are approved and ready for issuance. At that time

In reviewing our current application files, it appears that your permit applied for on 12/18/2012, has not been
issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code,
Uniform Plumbing Code and /or National Electrical Code every permit application not issued within 180 days
from the date of application shall expire and become null and void. Your permit application will expire on
06/16/2013.
If you still plan to pursue your project, a written request for extension of your application must be submitted to the
Permit Center at least seven (7) days before it is due to expire. Address your extension request to the Building
Official and state your reason(s) for the need to extend your permit application. If it is determined that an
extension is granted, your application will be extended for an addtional 90 days from the expiration date and you
will be notified by mail.
In the event that we do not receive your written request for extension or your request was denied, your permit
application will expire, become null and void and your project will require a new permit application, plans and
specifications, and associated fees.

CONTROL ON OUTSIDE AIR INTAKES. MOTORIZED DAMPERS SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM . LEAKAGE OF 10 CFM /SF OF DAMPER AREA AT 1.0 INCHES W.G. AND
GRAVITY BACKDRAFT DAMPERS SHALL NOT EXCEED 40 CFM /SF (ALL UNDER 24 INCHES IN EITHER DIRECTION) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMCA
STANDARD 500.
6. BALANCING DAMPERS SHALL BE PROVIDED AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS FOR EACH SUPPLY, RETURN AND EXHAUST 'AIR TERMINAL.
7. MULTI - PURPOSE ROOM 102 AND CONFERENCE ROOM 203 IN THE ISO BUILDING ARE EACH PROVIDED WITH CARBON DIOXIDE MONITORING FOR DEMAND
VENTILATION. CONTROL.
8. PROVIDE DUCT SEALING PER NREC 1414.1 AND SECTION 23 3113 - HVAC METAL DUCTS.
9. PROVIDE DUCT INSULATION PER NREC ' 1414.2 AND SECTION 23 07 00 - HVAC INSULATION.
