Several of the concerns we brought up will be more appropriately dealt with next year during the update of the tree regulations. The one minor change we agreed should come to the attention of the Planning Commission is a small deletion in 18.52.060.A.10, as follows. The paragraph below takes sub - section (10) of the version on the city's website, with all changes accepted, and only shows the proposed deletion: Non - developed site areas, such as utility easements, shall be landscaped and /or treated with dust-and erosion erosion control planting or surfacing such as evergreens, groundcover, shrubs, trees, sod or a combination of similar materials. In areas with overhead utility lines, no shrubs or trees shall be allowed that could mature over 20 feet in height. Trees should not be planted within 10 feet of underground utilities, such as power, water, sewer or storm drainage pipes. We look forward to working with the city on updating the tree regulations.
