• Introductions
• Comments from Fire Chief Wittwer
• Has been here almost a month, very impressed with what he has seen
• Worked for City of N Las Vegas for 29 years, worked up through the ranks
• His wife is up here with him and he has 6 adult children
• Provided facts and information regarding the Public Safety Plan and referred to
the City of Tukwila website
• Chief's update
• Yesterday the entire command staff, Sgts. and up, got together at the
Doubletree.
• looked at goals for 2017 in light of the PD Strategic Plan and City of
Tukwila priorities
• Looked at budget priorities
• Studied crime stats
• Came up with a draft plan for the Chiefs to review before we go into
2017
• Will share final plan with this group once approved
• Discussion of how COPCAB can assist TPD in the implementation of Pillar 4 in the
President's Report on 21" Century Policing
• Discussion on what TPD is doing now, refer to attached spreadsheet
• Getting ready to launch social media sites for PD only, Facebook, Twitter and
in the future, U -tube.
• Going to start doing "wellness checkups" for officers (voluntary) with a
psychologist.

Tonight Jan is not here because she is at a summit for Houses of Worship at
TCC facilitated by the Community Liaison Team. This is also a part of Pillar 4
Starting the "Wallet Card Program" here in Tukwila, the first in the state of
Washington. Officers will be trained on best practices for working with autistic
individuals.

• Jerry — Mentioned Officer Saguil's performance at the Police Games
• John — Saw two uniformed TPD officers near McDonalds on foot. He was
impressed to see them out walking.
• Chief Wittwer — One of the battalion chiefs, Marty Roberts, assisted with the
identification of the stabbing suspect at the light rail station.
• Chris — Nametags ordered for COPCAB members, bylaws will be going to
council
• Bruce — Just went live with our new records management system on Oct 4th.
This program has a lot of analytics available and once we have enough data in
the system we will be able to have pinpoint ideas of trends in crime.
