SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ekberg called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 10:24 p.m.

1. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with Catholic Community Services for the Emergency
Assistance Program, in the amount of$22.7OO per year for 2017-2O18
2. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with Renton Area Youth Services (RAYS) for substance
abuse/mental health services, in the amount of $31,330 per year for 2017-2018.
3. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with Renton Area Youth Services (RAYS) for school-based
counseling, in the amount of$55.OQ2 per year for 2O17-2O18.
4 Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with the Refugee Women's Alliance for family support and case
management, in the amount of$21.2OO per year for 2O17'2O18.
5. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with Multi-Service Center for the Emergency Assistance
Program, in the amount of$45.OUO per year for 2O17'2O18.
G. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with the Institute for Family Development (PACT) forin'hume
mental health services, in the amount of$21.00O per year for 2O17-2O18.
7. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with the Tukwila Pantry Food Bank, in the amount of $35,000
per year for 2O17-2O18.
e Authorize the Mayor to sign an Interagency Agreement with King County for the waste reduction/
recycling grant to receive funds in the amount of $76,944 to fund the Recycling Assistance Program.

Councilmember Hougardy expressed her appreciation to the Councilmembers for their positive
involvement with Consent Agenda Item C regarding funding for Human Services.
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY KRULLER TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS
SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Authorize the Mayor to sign an Interlocal Agreement with multiple local jurisdictions for the Valley
Narcotics Enforcement Team (VNET).
MOVED BY ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH MULTIPLE LOCAL JURISDICTIONS FOR THE VALLEY
NARCOTICS ENFORCEMENT TEAM (VNET). MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
