Shortly before 4pm this afternoon, 911 calls were made reporting a water main break in
the 13000 Block of 57th Avenue South. Tukwila Fire Department units responded to
investigate the situation.
First arriving units found water going across the Beacon Coal Mine Road into a culvert
and down the hillside from there.
Water District 125 was contacted and immediately dispatched crews to the scene. They
were able to quickly locate and shut down valves that stopped the leak.
No injuries or property damage was noted. It is unknown at the time of this release how
many customers are impacted by the main being shut off.
Units from Tukwila Fire, Tukwila Police, King County Fire District 20, King County
Utilities, King County Sherriff, and Water District 125 responded to the call.
