HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0300 - Use District Maps of Comprehensive ZoningORDINANCE NC. 300 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN 0F TUKWILA AMENDING USE DISTRICT MAPS WHICH ARE A PART OF ORDINANCE NO. 251, THE TUKWILA COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the Tukwila Planning Commission, acting pursuant to Section 4 -24 of the aforementioned Ordinance ido. 251 and upon petition of property owners involved propose an amendment to the Use District Maps adopted as a part of said Ordinance No. 251; and WHEREAS, under the authority of said Ordinance, the said Commission did fix a date for hearing upon said proposed amend ments and did publish due notice of said hearing as required by law; and WHEREAS, the said Planning Commission_ held a public hearing upon said proposed amendments on November 19, 1959, all as required by said Ordinance and did rpake its recommendations to Tukwila Town Council favoring the adoption of said amendment; and WHEREAS, pursuant to action of said council under the authority of said Ordinance, due notice of a hearing upon said proposals was published as required by law; and WHEREAS, a public hearing by said Town Council was had upon said proposed amendment and said recommendations of said Town Planning Commission on January 11, 1960, and no objection was t Lade to the said amendment; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAINI BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUnILA: SECTION 1. That the USE DISTRICT MAPS heretofore adopted as a part of Ordinance No. 251 of the Town of Tukwila, being the Tukwila Comprehensive Zoning �:,rdinance, be and the same is hereby amended to: Rezone a portion of that area now zoned R- 1 -9.6, as defined in Tukwila Ordinance No. 251 to R -4, as defined in Tukwila Ordinance No. 251, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Secondary State highway 5 -M (Interurban Avenue) and a line parallel to and one hundred forty feet north measured at right angles to said lines, of the center line of S. 144th Street extended; thence westerly along said parallel Line to an intersection with the south- westerly boundary of the C -1 zone as shown on the offic- ial zoning map of the Town of Tukwila as adopted by the Town Council December 23, 1957, the true point of beginn- ing of this description; thence continuing westerly along said parallel line to an intersection with the line be- tween Lots 6 and 7, block 13, Fillnian's Seattle Garden Tracts, extended; thence southerly along said line, be- tween Lots 6 and 7 to the center line of S. 147th Street; thence easterly along said center line of S. 147th Street to the center line of Division Street; thence southerly along said center line of Division Street to the center line of S, 149th Street; thence easterly along said center line of S. 149th Street to the center line of 64th Avenue S. extended; thence southerly along said center line of 64th Avenue S. to the center line of 65th Avenue S.; thence southeasterly along said center line of 65th Avenue S. to the center line of South 152nd Street; thence easterly along said center line of South 152nd Street to a point one hundred forty feet easterly of and measured at right angles to said center line of 65th Avenue South.; thence northwesterly along a line parallel to and one hundred forty feet east- erly, measured at right angles to said lines, the center line of said 65th Avenue South to a line parallel to and one hundred feet northerly of the center line of South 151st Street extended; thence easterly along said parallel line to an intersection with the official zoning :nap of the Town of Tukwila as adopted by the Town Council December 23, 1957; thence northwesterly along said boundary line to the true point of beginning, SECTION 2.
