Acting Deputy Police Chief Rick Mitchell presented proposed changes to the current Commander job description specifically addressing the position qualifications. The Chief would like to change the current requirement of "An associate's degree to either an associate's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience to equal a total of two years to provide sufficient evidence of successful performance of the essential duties of the job such as those listed above; A bachelor's degree is preferred; AND one year of police experience at the rank of Sergeant or above."
