Crawley Are Chief Fire Prevention Bureau :.November 20, 1978 Re: Stewart - Walker C In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note the following items: 1. Provide one -hour fire - resistive separation. (West wall of this area) 2. Per UFC Sec. 10.104(b), "A11 doors in or leading to exits shall be maintained openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort at all times when the building or area served thereby is occupied." 3. Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. 4, Maintain hose station coverage per City Ordin- ance #730. 5. Provide roof -smoke vents (U.L. approved) in the ratio of 1:50 (vent area to floor area) 6. Fire extinguisher type, quantity and placement shall be per NFPA #10. Install four 22 gallon pressurized water units and four 2A -10 B:C "A11- Purpose" dry - chemical units. 7. Per NFPA requirements, extinguishers with a gross weight of 40 pounds or less shall be hung so that the top of the extinguisher is not higher than 60 inches above the floor. Extinguishers weighing more than 40 pounds, shall be hung so that the top of the unit is not higher than 42 inches above the floor.
