Council President Duffie called the meeting to order and welcomed attendees.
2017-2018 Biennial Budget
The purpose of this work session was to continue Council review of the proposed 2017-2018 Budget.
Questions from Councilmembers and their responses were reflected in the master spreadsheet
maintained by the Council Analyst.
Finance and Safety ChairSeal stated that tonight is an opportunity for Councilmembers to ask pending
or new questions of staff regardingthe proposed 2017-2018 budget. All components of the budget have
been presented by staff in standing committees and in Committee of the Whole, and final adoption
needs to occur by the end of the year. A second work session is scheduled for Wednesday in which
Councilmembers will go through the budget book again, tab by tab.
