Council President Duffie called the meeting to order and welcomed attendees.
Finance and Safety Chair Seal stated that she would introduce each tab in the budget workbook, ask
each Committee Chair if she or he has anything further to add, and then ask for comments from the rest
of the Council. Chair Seal provided an overview of the timeline of the proposed budget and all of the
touchpoints with the Council. She thanked staff for being responsive to the Council's request to parcel
out budget sections through the standing committees this year. She also referenced the Council's
unanimous adoption of the budget priorities which were used to guide the proposal.
The Council discussed the budget workbook one tab at a time. Questions from Councilmembers and
their responses were reflected in the master spreadsheet maintained by the Council Analyst.
