On 08/30/2017 at approximately 2:31PM, officers were dispatched to the vicinity of the Light Rail
Station at 3651 Southcenter Blvd for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult
male victim in his 40's from Seattle suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The victim was rushed
to Harborview Medical Center by King County Medic One in serious condition. The victim had been
stabbed on the stairs near the sidewalk during an altercation with another male.
Detectives with the Community Police Team (CPT) located an individual matching the description of
the suspect and detained him. He is considered a person of interest at this time.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are currently investigating the incident.
