PLANTING NOTES
1. ALL PLANTING MATERIALS SHALL CONFORM TO THE MINIMUM STANDARDS SET FOURTH BY THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF NURSERYMEN.

4. THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL WARRANTY ALL PLANTING. MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM THE
TIME OF FINAL ACCEPTANCE.
5. DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANT DEATH CAUSED BY FIRE, THEFT,
UNUSUAL CLIMATIC CONDITIONS, ACTS OF VANDALISM, OR POOR MAINTENANCE. THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT HAS THE SOLE AUTHORITY TO
DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEATH.
6. LOCATE NEW TREE PLANTINGS A MINIMUM OF 5' FROM ANY ADJACENT UNDERGROUND SEWER, WATER, GAS AND STORM ONES.
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION, AND SHALL BRING ANY CONFLICTS TO THE

OVERSPRAY ONTO ANY BUILDINGS.
E. MAINLINE PIPES AND WIREING SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM COVER OF 18 INCHES AND LATERAL PIPING 12 INCHES.
F. ALL TRENCH BACKFILL SHALL BE SELECT ROCK FREE MATERIALS COMPACTED TO 65% FOR ALL LANDSCAPED AREAS. ALL AREAS UNDER
CONCRETE OR ASPHALT SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95%
G. AS PART OF THE CONTRACT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WINTERIZE THE SYSTEM IN THE FALL AND REACTIVATE IT IN THE SPRING FOR
THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.
16. PRIOR TO CLEARING AND GRADING ACTIVITIES, CONTRACTOR I5 TO COORDINATE SELECTION OF EXISTING PLAT MATERIAL FOR RETENTION
AND/OR SELECTION OF EXISTING PLANT MATERIAL FOR RELOCATION AND STORAGE WITEi LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO ANY GRADING
ACTIVITIES. TREES TO BE RETAINED SHALL BE CLEARLY MARKED; FLAGGED AND HAVE HIGHLY MSIBLE CONSTRUCTION FENCING PLACED AROUND

17. CONTRACTOR SHALL STORE AND MAINTAIN SELECTED MATERIAL FOR RELOCATION IN A MANOR TO PREVENT, DAMAGE, THEFT, AND TO
MAINTAIN IN A LIVING CONDITION SUITABLE FOR REPLANTING UNTIL SUCH TIME AS RELOCATION OCCURS
18. COORDINATE ALL PLANTING MATERIALS/LOCATONS NEAR DRIVE-THRU WITH McDONALD'S ACM AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO
INSTALLING.
19. CONTRACTOR IS TO COORDINATE REMOVAL OF ALL DISEASED AND DEAD VEGETATION AS PART OF CLEARING AND GRADING ACTIVITIES.
20. PLANTING IS TO BE COORDINATED WITH ALL UTILITY DRAWINGS TO INCLUDE STORM SEWER, SANITARY SEWER, WATER SERVICE, GAS AND
ELECTRICAL FIELD ADJUST QUANTITIES AS NECESSARY..
GRADING NOTES
1. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ROUGH AND FINE GRADING, PROVIDING POSITIVE SURFACE DRAINAGE AWAY FROM ALL
STRUCTURES.
2. ALL EARN MOUNDS SHOWN ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND ARE FOR REFERENCE AND FORM. SHAPE OF MOUNDS ARE TO BE APPROVED IN
THE FIELD BY THE LANDSCAPE DESIGNER.
3. ALL SLOPES EQUAL OR GREATER THAN 2-1/2.2 SHALL HAVE JUTE MESH EROSION CONTROL NETTING INSTALLED PER MFG.
SPECIFICATIONS. LAP MINIMUM 2'. AND STAKE.
4. GRADES ARE TO BE UNIFORM AND CONSISTENT BETWEEN SPOT ELEVATIONS.
5. ALL STONES LARGER THAN 1.5' IN DIAMt I tit AND ANY UNSUITABLE MATERIALS/DEBRIS GENERATED BY SITE CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
6. GRADING SHALL CONFORM TO ALL LOCAL CODES AND REQUIREMENTS AND ORDINANCES.
7. ALL ON -GRADE AREAS TO RECEIVE PLANTING SMALL BE WITHIN A TENTH OF A FOOT OF FINAL GRADE. THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR
SHALL RIP AND SCARIFY THE EXISTING SOIL ALL AREAS THAT ARE TO RECEIVE TREE, SHRUB AND 50D PLANING SHALL RECEIVE A MINIMUM

8. EXISTING TOPSOIL SHALL BE EVALUATED BY A QUALIFIED SOILS SCIENTIST TO ENSURE PLANTING SUITABILITY. WHERE APPROVED BY THE
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, TOPSOIL MAY BE MADE SUITABLE BY AMENDING WITH WELL -RUTTED COMPOST TILLED TO A DEPTH OF 6 INCHES.
9. TOPSOIL SHALL BE NATURAL SANDY, FERTILE AND POSSESS CHARACTERISTICS OF THE REPRESENTATIVE PRODUCTIVE 5011.5 WITHIN THE
VICINITY. IT SHALL NOT BE EXCESSIVELY ACID OR ALKALINE NOR CONTAIN TOXIC SUBSTANCES WHICH MAY BE HARMFUL TO PLANT GROWTH.
10. TOPSOIL SHALL BE WITHOUT ADMIXTURE OF SUBSOIL. IT SHALL BE REASONABLY FREE FROM CLAY LUMPS, STONES, STUMPS, DEBRIS,
ROOTS OR SIMILAR SUBSTANCES TWO INCHES OR MORE IN DIAMETER, OR OTHER OBJECTS WHICH MIGH BE A HINDRANCE TO PLANT GROWTH.
11. ALL PLANTING AREAS ARE TO MAINTAIN POSITIVE GRADE TO DRAINAGE SYSTEMS, TYPICAL PLANTING GRADES SHALL ME 1.5% OR GREATER.
BRING ANY DISCREPANCIES TO THE ATTENTION OF THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO PROCEEDING.
12. PLANTING WELLS IN PLAZA AREA AND DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO BUILDING SHALL BE EXCAVATED Al- Itft COMPLETION OF BUILDING
CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING ALL PAINING/GROUTING/DRYWALL AND INTERIOR WORK WORK IS COMPLETE. EXCAVATION SHALL BE TO A DEPTH OF
24 INCHES AND REPLACED WIN SELECT, CLEAN, AND DEBRIS FREE IMPORTED SOILS SUITABLE FOR PLANT GROWTH AND ESTABUSHMENT. THE
CONTRACTOR I5 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL OF EXCAVATED MATERIALS AND THE IMPORT OF SELECT MATERIAL AT NO EXPENSE TO THE
DEVELOPER.
LAYOUT NOTES
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DISTANCES AND DIMENSIONS IN THE FIELD AND BRING ANY DISCREPANCIES TO THE ATTENTION OF
THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION.
