Council President Van Dusen called the Work Meeting to order. A tour was
made of the newly purchased Southgate Elementary School, which will be used
as a community center, and the new City Hall. Anticipated occupancy of the
new City Hall will be September 15, 1978.
BOHRER, HARRIS, HILL, JOHANSON, SAUL, TRAYNOR, VAN DUSEN.
After discussion the following goals were established:
1. Increase productivity of City employees.
2. Complete all undergrounding in current Tukwila.
2A. Continue street upgrade in residential area.
3. Implement water pressure balancing program.
4. Complete update of T.M.C.
5. Complete capital improvement program for Foster Golf Course.
6. Construct Christenson Trail to T -line bridge and Tukwila Boulevard.

7. Complete design of Christenson Trail ta Fort Dent to Interurban AveRue.
8. Complete long -range plans for McMicken Park and start first phase.
9. Activate Southgate and implement City programs there.

10. Complete residential trail program.
11. Start acquisition of Puget Power right -of -way on Interurban Avenue.
12. Update City shops for maximum utilization and productivity.
13. Acquire development rights to hillsides along I -5.
14. Acquire right -of -way for public access along complete bank of Green
River.
14A. Trail extension all of the way through Tukwila.
15. Complete LID No. 28.
16. Complete traffic analysis for business district one traffic light
per year.
17. Sidewalks in all of the business area.
1. Increase image of Tukwila as a City.
2. Establish zip code for Tukwila.
3. Annex areas wishing annexation.
4. Reduce fragmentation of georgraphical political boundaries within
Tukwila.
5. Protect raid on tax base.
