Since then I have requested warranty 4 times from manufacturer and the representative has not provided official document as requested but has provided the attached e- mail indicating that manufacturer is warranting roof system for 20 years. I have since then received letter from Tukwila indicating final inspection was not done. Please let me know if this will suffice. It is our understanding that the new roofing materials will be added ov top of the existing roofing materials. The existing building has approximate overall dimensions of 82' x 160'. The structure is half story and half two-story. The exterior perimeter walls are concrete and the roof framing consi sheathing supported by 2x4 sub -purlins space at 24 inches on center. The high roof has an int beam line consisting of gluelam beams with some of the beams in simple span and other bea cantilevers. The beams observed were either GL 5-1/8x21 or GL 5-1/8x12 depending on spa interior beam line is offset from the middle of the high roof creating two different spans. The other span is 15'- - an has 4x12 purlins space at 8'-0" on center. The low roof framing and the second floor framing were not observed. The weight of the existing roofing above the existing sheathing has been determined to be 3.96 PSF while the proposed added roofing consists of DensGlass sheathing, StressBase 80, VersiPly and asphalt with a total added weight of 3.1 PSF. We have reviewed the structural impact to the existing roof framing and determined that the existing roof will support the proposed added roofing without modification to the existing structure. While DCI Engineers has not performed a full lateral analysis of the structure, we have determined that the increase in seismic mass to the high roof to be 16%. We further checked the shear demand on the high roof on the N -S direction and determined that the shear demand is well below the capacity of a typical roof diaphragm of -this type of construction. Therefore the added roof mass is considered to not have a negative impact to the building's lateral system. Please contact this office with any questions concerning this matter. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days.
