CORRECTION bl3- 0313 RECEIVED CITY OF TUKWILA JAN . 0 3 2014 PERMIT CENTER C a r c h i t e c t s December 31, 2013 Allen Johannessen Building Department City of Tukwila: Department of Community Development 6300 Southcenter Boulevard, Suite 100 Tukwila, Washington 98188 RE: Sahale Snacks ADDRESS: 3411 S 120th Place PERMIT #: D13-0373 Dear Mr. Johannessen This letter is in response to the comments received from your office in a letter dated on December 26, 2013, regarding the above mentioned permit. BUILDING CODE ISSUES: Comment #1: The space alteration indicates installation of two locker rooms (#104 & #105). Provide details with dimensions and specifications to show the locker rooms shall be made accessible and meet the barrier free requirements. (2012 IBC 1103.2.3 and 2009 ANSI Section 803) The (2) locker rooms will contain small lockers along the West wall for personal belongings and rolling coat racks along the East wall, holding the manufacturing coats that an outside service provides to Sahale for the production workers to wear over their clothes while on the plant floor. The room will not have any benches within it and will only contain the lockers/ coat racks along the length of the walls. The plan has been updated to note the fixtures and shows the required maneuvering clearances in the center of the room. Comment #2: Provide a reflective ceiling plan to show lighting and any ceiling alterations for the new rooms. Also it appears the egress lighting may be altered with the new egress configuration. Include egress illumination changes or show/specify emergency illumination shall not be affected. Per General note 1 on sheet A2.1, the existing ceiling grid, tiles and light fixtures are to remain. The new partitions that are being constructed are under rid partitions per interior partition type 1 on sheet A2.1.
