All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the following departments: BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Dave Larson at 206-431-3678 if you have questions regarding these comments. • 1. The door on the accessible toilet compartment swings into the clear floor space of the accessible urinal. You could swap the urinals and move the door in the water closet to the left to fix this issue. 2. The two reused entry doors to the toilet rooms will need to be fire rated doors, self- closing and latching as the plans show the existing walls as fire rated walls. Please verify rating requirements and add hardware notes to plans as necessary. PW DEPARTMENT: Joanna Spencer at 206-431-2440 if you have questions regarding these comments. • In accordance with WA State Department of Health guidelines for group A Public Water Systems the City has implemented a cross -connection control program to protect the public water system from contamination via cross - connection. The subject building has all necessary backflow preventers installed which are current on the annual testing, however the landscape irrigation sewer meter is not AMR compatible. It is a make and model that will work (2" Sensus SR), however it needs an AMR register and radio to be compatible with the City system. This meter is located in front of the Red Barn in the turf. If you need assistance in the field please contact Mr. Todd Reedy, Water Quality Specialist, Tukwila Water Department at 206 433-1860, or 206 571-6309. On your site plan please show location of the existing domestic and irrigation sewer deduct meters and add a callout "Install an AMR register and radio" pointing to the deduct meter. Please address the attached comments in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation. The City requires that four (4) sets of revised plan pages, specifications and/or other documentation be resubmitted with the appropriate revision block. In order to better expedite your resubmittal, a 'Revision Submittal Sheet' must accompany every resubmittal. I have enclosed one for your convenience. Corrections/revisions must be made in person and will not be accepted through the mail or by a messenger service. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 206-431-3655. The only water related issue at that facility is the sewer deduct meter, which is not AMR compatible. It is a make and model that will work (2" Sensus SR), however it needs an AMR register and radio to be compatible with our system. It is located in front of the Red Barn in the turf.
