Otis will be transferring their existing permits from their current facility in Tukwila to this new facility. They store some limited quantities of hydraulic fluid new and then used for recycling. The quantities are under the exempt amounts. Otis has been working with you and the Fire Dept. on their materials. 2. I have added the emergency lighting path to sheet T-2 as well as the demo plan. I have enhanced the pathway and added lighting and the emergency lighting notes to sheet T-2 and took out the single exit pathway as it does not need to have emergency lighting. I have added emergency exit lighting on both sides of door N8. I have also added occupancy numbers in each room and have totaled up the occupancy for the space and that is shown on T-2. I trust this will answer your comments and I look forward to receiving the permit. If you should have any other questions, please call. David Kehle Encl. 4 copies sheet T2 1916 Bonair Drive S.W. All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the Building Department. At this time the Fire, Planning, and Public Works Departments have no comments. Building Department: Dave Larson at 206 431-3678 if you have questions regarding the attached comments. Please address the attached comments in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation. The City requires that four (4) sets of revised plans, specifications and/or other documentation be resubmitted with the appropriate revision block. In order to better expedite your resubmittal, a `Revision Submittal Sheet' must accompany every resubmittal. I have enclosed one for your convenience. Corrections/revisions must be made in person and will not be accepted through the mail or by a messenger service. If you have any questions, I can be reached at (206) 431-3670. Please address the following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specifications and/or other applicable documentation. (GENERAL NOTE) PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 11x17 to maximum size of 24x36. Please submit all plans on the same size paper. Revised plans need to be the same size as originally submitted). (If applicable) Structural Drawings and structural calculation sheets shall be stamped and signed. 1. The plan shows an area in the warehouse that will be used for the storage of oil and haz-mat material. Please provide a report as required by section 414.1.3 of the IBC for the maximum expected quantities of hazardous materials. This area may need to be a control area instead of chain link fencing. Please revise plans as necessary. 2. An emergency lighting note is shown on the demolition page. Please add this note to page T-2 also. It is not clear as to where the emergency lighting will be provided. There are two dotted lines that appear to be main egress paths. One is a heavier line than the other. Are they both emergency lighted paths? Please clarify emergency lighting locations. A shaded path is easy for our inspectors to verify. Also add one emergency light fixture on the exterior side of each exterior exit door. Exit signs are needed at door N8 on the corridor side and at the office side entry into this corridor. Should there be questions concerning the above information please contact the Building Division at 206-431-3670. • • PLAN REVIEW/ROUTING SLIP ACTIVITY NUMBER: D13-0313 PROJECT NAME: OTIS ELEVATOR SITE ADDRESS: 3315 S 116 ST Original Plan Submittal X Response to Correction Letter # 1 DATE: 11-13-13 Response to Incomplete Letter # Revision # After Permit Issued DEPARTMENTS: l •Building 'Division Public Works n Fire Prevention Structural Planning Division ❑ Permit Coordinator 1 DETERMINATION OF COMPLETENESS: (Tues., Thurs.)
