PERMIT CONDITIONS:
1: Work shall be installed in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made
during construction that are not in accordance with the approved construction documents shall be
resubmitted for approval.
2: All permits, inspection record card and approved construction documents shall be kept at the site of work
and shall be open to inspection by the Building Inspector until final inspection approval is granted.
3: All construction shall be done in conformance with the Washington State Building Code and the
Washington State Energy Code.
4: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap
the sanitary sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks,
wells, and other excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector
based on satisfactory completion of this requirement.
5: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila
Permit Center.
6: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an
approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the
City of Tukwila. Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or
other ordinances of the City of Tukwila shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction
documents and other data shall not prevent the Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in
the construction documents and other data.

6 Warnings
• To avoid failure of the anchor plate the required thickness can be calculated in PROFIS Anchor. Load re -distributions on the anchors due to
elastic deformations of the anchor plate are not considered. The anchor plate is assumed to be sufficiently stiff, in order not to be deformed when
subjected to the loading!
• Condition A applies when supplementary reinforcement is used. The factor is increased for non -steel Design Strengths except Pullout Strength
and Pryout strength. Condition B applies when supplementary reinforcement is not used and for Pullout Strength and Pryout Strength. Refer to
your local standard.
• Refer to the manufacturer's product literature for cleaning and installation instructions.
• Checking the transfer of loads into the base material and the shear resistance are required in accordance with ACI 318 or the relevant standard!
• An anchor design approach for structures assigned to Seismic Design Category C, D, E or F is given in ACI 318-08 Appendix D, Part D.3.3.4 that
requires the goveming design strength of an anchor or group of anchors be limited by ductile steel failure. If this is NOT the case, Part D.3.3.5
requires that the attachment that the anchor is connecting to the structure shall be designed so that the attachment will undergo ductile yielding at
a load level corresponding to anchor forces no greater than the controlling design strength. In lieu of D.3.3.4 and D.3.3.5, the minimum design
strength of the anchors shall be multiplied by a reduction factor per D.3.3.6.
An alternative anchor design approach to ACI 318-08, Part D.3.3 is given in IBC 2009, Section 1908.1.9. This approach contains "Exceptions"
that may be applied in lieu of D.3.3 for applications involving "non-structural components" as defined in ASCE 7, Section 13.4.2.

The Building Division conducted a plan review on the subject permit application. Please address the following

PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 11x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size. New
revised plan sheets shall be the same size sheets as those previously submitted.)
(If applicable) Structural Drawings and structural calculations sheets by a registered engineer shall have a current
signed stamp -seal. Architectural design sheets and documents by a registered architect shall also have a current
signed stamp -seal.
1. The plan shows ventilation fan installed with two exhaust vents at the opposite end of the building for
apparently ventilation of that space. The plans do not specify if this is a conditioned space or how the
ventilation shall comply with Washington State Energy code (WSEC). Since this apparently a conditioned
space, by this installation, all conditioned air would be exhausted to the exterior. Specify what the purpose the
ventilation serves. Provide information about the buildings envelope and the conditioning of the different
spaces most particularly this space. Specify what this space is used for. Since this is an alteration of a
conditioned space, an analysis of the space shall be required to show compliance with Washington State Energy
codes. Proved a 2012 WSEC building envelope compliance form or a Building performance analysis to show
how the new ventilation system shall comply with WSEC. (2012 WSEC C401, C402, C407, C408...)
2. Where the new vents are to be installed in the exterior walls, provide construction details with specifications for
the alteration of the wall framing for the new openings. An engineer's analysis with details shall be required for
openings affecting any load bearing or sheer walls i.e. the two south -end side wall panels.
