Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data. 12: ***FIRE DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS*** 13: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by the Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 14: A Type 1 hood shall be installed at or above all commercial cooking appliances and domestic cooking appliances used for commercial purposes that produce grease vapors. Each required commercial kitchen exhaust hood and duct system required by section 610 of the•International Fire Code to have a Type 1 hood shall be protected with an approved automatic fire -extinguishing system installed in accordance with this code. (IFC 610.2, IFC 904.2.1 and IFC 904.11) Automatic fire -extinguishing systems shall comply with UL 300 or other equivalent standards and shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of the listing. (NFPA 96, 10.2.3) • • 15: Type I hood systems shall be designed and installed to automatically activate the exhaust fan whenever cooking operations occur. The activation of the exhaust fan shall occur through an interlock with the cooking appliances, by means of heat sensors or by means of other approved methods.
