The 3 backflow preventers listed are reduced pressure principle assemblies (RPBAs) and cut sheets are attached. As of May 1, 2013, DOH no longer publishes the WA DOH -Approved Assemblies List. They now use the USC -Approved Assemblies List. The scheduled devices are on that list. We have attached cut sheets for them. 2. BFP-X is clearly defined on the Hydrant, Drain and BFB schedule as a backflow preventer on sheet P0.02. The schedule lists the make and model of each device. 3. The existing water meter is a sub -meter within the building premise and it is being moved from its current location above the ceiling to a new location within about 1' of its current location just to allow for some minor piping changes. This is not a city meter and I just confirmed with Todd Reedy that they have no ownership or control of this meter. 4. We are aware that there is an existing RPPA outside the building. We have provided our own internal premise isolation as another layer of protection between our TI space and other building tenants. 5. Grease pumping has been completed and documentation is attached with this submittal. 6. Wingstop plans to pump out the Grease Interceptor every three months. 11/3/2014 City of Tukwila Department of Community Development ROD BUTLER 3218 EASTLAKE AVE #113 SEATTLE, WA 98102 RE: Permit No. PG13-130 WINGSTOP 17424 SOUTHCENTER PY Dear Permit Holder: Jim Haggerton, Mayor Jack Pace, Director In reviewing our current records, the above noted permit has not received a final inspection by the City of Tukwila Building Division. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days. Your permit will expire on 12/14/2014. Based on the above, you are hereby advised to: 1) Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206-438-9350 to schedule for the next or final inspection. Each inspection creates a new 180 day period, provided the inspection shows progress. -or- 2) Submit a written request for permit extension to the Permit Center at least seven(7) days before it is due to expire. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for the need to extend your permit. The Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of up to 180 days. If it is determined that your extension request is granted, you will be notified by mail. In the event you do not call for an inspection and/or receive an extension prior to 12/14/2014, your permit will become null and void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the Public Works Department. At this time the Building Department has no comments. Public Works Department: Joanna Spencer at 206 431-2440 if you have questions regarding the attached comments. Please address the attached comments in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation. The City requires that two (2) sets of revised plans, specifications and/or other documentation be resubmitted with the appropriate revision block. In order to better expedite your resubmittal, a `Revision Submittal Sheet' must accompany every resubmittal. I have enclosed one for your convenience. Corrections/revisions must be made in person and will not be accepted through the mail or by a messenger service. If you have any questions, I can be reached at (206) 431-3670. Are they Reduced Pressure Principle Assemblies (RPPAs)? Submit cut sheets for the proposed devices and circle the backflows to be installed. Make sure backflows are from the WA State Department of Health list of approved devices. 2) Include BFP in the ABBREVIATIONS table on sheet P0.02. 3) Sheet P1.00, Level 1 Plumbing Plan, calls for existing 3/" CW meter to be reused and relocated. What type of WM is it? Is it a sub -meter for the building? Where is it going to be relocated? Applicant shall contact Mr. Todd Reedy, Tukwila Water Department at 206 433-1860 to establish status of this meter and determine meter condition and if it can be reused. 4) There is a Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly (RPPA) on the water service line already. Is BF -2 necessary or redundant? If you need assistance in locating the existing domestic water RPPA, please contact Mr. Todd Reedy, Tukwila Water Department at 206 433-1860. 5) There is an existing outside grease interceptor installed by the previous tenant, Taco del Mar. Our September 19, 2013 field inspection has revealed that it is full of grease. Please have the grease interceptor completely pumped out by a grease waste management pumping company and submit pumping documentation. 6) Wingstop, as the new tenant, shall completely pump out the interceptor every three months. Restaurants that generate a small amount of grease may, with the Public Works Director's approval, pump the interceptor on a 6 -month schedule. At any time, the City may inspect the interceptor and require service that is more frequent. Please note that comments 5 and 6 were part of the Building Permit D13-293 correction letter. However, it is critical that the grease interceptor be pumped, since a condition to perform a dye test to assure proper connection of the waste line to the outside grease interceptor will be added to this plumbing permit.
