Dear Ms. Malara:
Based on our conversation yesterday the following information is required in order to
further review your application:,
1. Special Permission sign permit application is required pursuant to Tukwila Municipal
Code (TMC) 19.32.80. Please refer to the attached handout on Special Permission.
Two sets of drawings must be submitted with the Special Permission application.
2. Also, pursuant to TMC 19.32.80, total area of all signs shall not exceed 32 square
feet. The proposal to install two wall signs: one 40 square feet and the other 8 square
exceeds the maximum allowed sign area requirement. Please revise the drawings to
meet the maximum sign area requirement of 32 square feet.

2. I understand that state law requires that all building construction contractors be registered with the
State of Washington. The exceptions to this requirement are stated under Section 18.27.090 of the
Revised Code Washington, a copy of which is printed on the reverse side of this Affidavit. I have
read or am familiar with RCW 18.27.090.
3_ I understand that prior to issuance of a buifthng permit for work which is to be done by any
contractor, the City of Tukwila must verify either that the contractor is registered by the State of
Washington, or that one of the exemptions stated under RCW 18.27.090 applies.
4. In order to provide verification to the City of Tukwila of my compliance with this requirement, I hereby
attest that after reading the exemptions r.Qan the registration requirement of RCW 18.27.090, I
consider the work authorized under this btttpermit to be exempt under No. 15 , and
will therefore not be performed by a registered contractor.
