Minnie,
1. During our conversation on Oct. 8th you stated that B.E.C.U. would only be
allowed two large signs at any given time. I replied that we would be
erecting the signs from end of Oct. through November and it would be
difficult to tell exactly when the signs were complete and legible. I
mentioned that B.E.C.U. was concerned about there being a time when
there might be no identifying sign on the building and that this might
cause difficulty for BECU and confusion for the public.
2. With that in mind I asked if we could remove the front monument sign
once our two roof signs were up and running (illuminated). You made a
counter suggestion that we could erect the first roof sign and then remove
the monument sign before proceeding with installing the second roof sign.
You also said that whether a sign was illuminated or not, once it was up it
constituted a "sign".
Thank you for helping us arrive at a sensible solution for this transition. I hope
this is an accurate account of our conversation. Please let know if you have any
questions.

INSPECTIONS
If the sign needs structural review, the applicant or installer is required to call the Building Division at 431-3670 for footing or bracket
inspections. Footing inspections must take place before concrete is poured. Bracket inspections must take place before sign is
installed.
A structural inspection is required for all signs when installation is complete. The applicant or installer is required to call the Planning
Division at 431-3670 for a final inspection.
It is the responsibility of the installer to obtain the electrical permit and inspections from the Washington State Department of Labor and
Industries at (206) 248-6630.
SIGN PERMIT APPLICATION IS VALID FOR 180 DAYS AFTER ISSUANCE.
