The items in the February 17, 2004 letter have not been addressed. Tukwila Municipal Code (TMC) 18.104.070 (E) notes, "The Department shall cancel an incomplete application if the applicant fails to submit the additional information within 90 days following notification from the Department that the application is incomplete." The above sign permit is canceled and if you wish to install a sign you will have to submit a new application. Genese St. #292 Seattle, WA 98108 RE: Notice of Incomplete Application, Sign Permit SO4-005 Mr. Jama: The Department of Community Development received you sign permit application on January 21, 2004. On February 13, 2004, the application was deemed incomplete for the necessary items in order to begin review of the application. The wall where the sign will be located currently has a sign located on it. The sign is for the Halal Marwa Cuisine Restaurant, which as you have noted is located in the same unit as your business. You may still be able to locate a sign for your business, but the City needs to know how large the sign is for the Halal Marwa Cuisine Restaurant and the square footage of the wall where the sign is located. Miles RE: Sign Permit SO4-005 DATE: February 3, 2004 The applicant wishes to install one wall sign at 15035 Tukwila International Blvd. The sign would be for "Have A Nice Day Jewelry". The building where the business is located is a multiple -tenant building. A restaurant is located next to the business and also has a wall sign. The applicant noted that the restaurant use to occupy the space that he in. The restaurant has a large wall sign and if the current application was approved the sign would become non -conforming. I have asked the applicant to give me the square footage of the area of the wall that will remain for the restaurant and square footage of the building. The restaurant may have to obtain a sign permit to install a smaller sign so that both business can be displayed on the wall. A structural inspection is required for all signs when installation is complete. The applicant or installer is required to call the Planning Division at 431-3670 for a final inspection. It is the responsibility of the installer to obtain the electrical permit and inspections from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries at (206) 248-6630.
