RE: Pending Sign Permit Applications for the Museum of Flight
Dear Ms. Lawton:
On May 25, 2004, applications were submitted to the City of Tukwila for the construction of
three signs for the Museum of Flight located along East Marginal Way S.
The City requested that additional information be submitted to complete our review of the
application. This information included:
1. A better site map so that City could determine if there were any issues with site
distance.
It has come to the City's attention that these signs have been installed without the issuance
of a sign permit by the City of Tukwila. Please note that it is violation of City Code to
install signs without a sign permit.
Please complete the sign permit application by providing the requested information within
14 -days from the date of this letter. Please be aware that if any of the signs are within the
site distance triangle, they will have to be moved or removed.

If the sign needs structural review, the applicant or Installer is required to call the Building Division at 431-3670 for footing or bracket
inspections_ Footing inspections must take place before concrete Is poured. Bracket Inspections must take place before sign is
installed.
A structural inspection is required for all signs when installation Is complete. The applicant or Installer Is required to call the Planning
Division at 431-3670 for a final Inspection_
It is the responsibility of the installer to obtain the electrical permit and inspections from the Washington State Department of Labor
and Industries at (206) 248-6630.
