INSPECTIONS
If the sign needs structural review, the applicant or installer is required to call the Building Division at 431-3670 for footing or bracket
inspections. Footing inspections must take place before concrete is poured. Bracket inspections must take place before sign is
installed.
A structural inspection is required for all signs when installation is complete. The applicant or installer is required to call the Planning
Division at 431-3670 for a final inspection.
It is the responsibility of the installer to obtain the electrical permit and inspections from the Washington State Department of Labor and
Industries at (206) 248-6630.
SIGN PERMIT APPLICATION IS VALID FOR 180 DAYS AFTER ISSUANCE.

Enclosed are 3 sets of drawings to replace the existing Hi -Rise Shell cabinet with a new Shell cabinet. I
have also enclosed a check in the amount of $184 for the plan check fee and structural review fee.
As shown on the plans, we are reducing the total sign square footage by 246.5 to conform to the new
square footage allowance. We are also reducing the total height by 9'. Since the existing footing and
structure was previously engineered to withstand 350 square feet at a total height of 90', no additional
engineering should be needed.
Please let me know when this permit is ready, so I can make arrangements to pick up, pay any additional
fees and order sign product.

•Remove & discard 3rd pole. Cut below grade & cover.
•Cut existing top 6" x 10" Steel horizontal bar in line with existing 14" steel
poles as shown.
•Weld new bottom 6" x 10" steel horizontal bar via WABO certified welders.
•Install new 10' x 10' Shell Hi -Rise Aluminum Extrusion Cabinet mounted to
6" x 10" horizontal bars and existing 14" poles via 3/8" x 1-1/2" self -
threading bolts. *Note: New Shell Cabinet Mounted on Existing Poles &
Footing (pre-engineered for 346.5 square foot Sign with total DAH of 90')
