Thank you for meeting with Kathy Stetson from Code Enforcement and me today. I am
pleased that we have come up with a solution to bring your signage into compliance that
meets City code as well as works for your situation. The purpose of this letter is to
summarize our conversation and formalize the conditions on your application.
With the measurements you provided, I determined that the north face of the Wood
Monsters tenant space is 50' x 18.75'. This allows you to have up to 42.5 sf of signage.
The west side of you tenant space is 32' by 18.75'; this allows you to have 29 sf of
signage. We agreed that if the awning is altered to cover-up all text and graphics below
the word "Monsters", the existing text stating "Wood Monsters" and the watermark
beside and behind that text will be 29.25 sf. We will issue your sign application to
proceed with this design.
Your sign application, meeting the above conditions, is issued and included in this letter.
As a condition of approval and to resolve you outstanding code violation, the City
requires these two signs to be installed, according to this letter, by January 31, 2008. If
they are not brought into compliance according to the terms of this letter, the City will
start issuing fines to both the tenant and the property owner for code violations.

Dear Jerry:
I am writing to you to follow up with my letter to you regarding your signs. I
spoke with Stacy Macgregor of Tukwila City, and she informed me that I, as the owner,
will be subject to fine of $100 fine for the first day, $175 fine for the second day, $250
sign for the third day, etc.
I get the impression that you are ignoring their requests for dimensions.
Again, I request that you remove your signs, and request that you make the
measurements today.
If you are unable to make those measurements today, I have no option but to hire
someone to make those measurements and pass the cost to you.

Thank you for calling me today. I am extremely disappointed and disturbed that Woodmonsters has not
provided the measurements as they have told me that they would do this in the past.
Your letter of October 31, 2007, titled "Second Request ..." was delieverd to my partner's home in
Renton, and it was just delieverd to me yesterday. I attach a letter which my partner Sukhdev Aulakh
delivered to Woodmonsters yesterday, in which I am directing Woodmonsters to remove the sign.
When Woodmonsters opens today, I will talk to them again and make efforts to get them to make those
measurements.
understand that as the owner, I am ultimately responsible. I have just talked to my landscaper who will
make those measurements for me if Woodmonsters won't.
I understand that you require these measurements within 2 weeks, by December 27, 2007.
I will take care of this as I do not want to be fined by the City. I do want to comply with the City. As an
example, recently the Fire Department informed me that I had to paint our curbs and driveway...I took care
of that right away.
So I want to assure you that I will take care of this. Please give me this last opportunity to resolve this
before it goes back to code enforcement.

I am subject to fine by the City of Tukwila for noncompliance, which you will be

any city code.
