Dear Mr. Martinez,
Your sign application for the I Floor at 17600 West Valley Highway is considered incomplete on April 10, 2009 for the
purposes of meeting state mandated time requirements. I do not have enough information to review your permit. Please
address the comments that follow.
The sign permit application Lists two signs (one freestanding and one wall sign), but we received payment for only one
sign. Please either submit payment of $130 for the second sign permit fee or submit written request to withdraw one of
the signs from your application.
Locations of all existing and proposed signs must be shown on the site plan. There is an existing wall sign on the west
facade which is not shown in your application. Please submit an elevation of the west facade with area calculations and
dimensions of the wall and sign. Tukwila's Sign Code states that each business is permitted a maximum of two signs.
(TMC 129.32.140(B3)) Please revise your plans to demonstrate that there will be no more than two signs listing this
business.
The application will expire if we do not receive the additional information within ninety days of the date of this letter (July 12,
2009) unless an extension is granted pursuant to Section 18.104.070(E).
Once you have addressed the comments and revised the plans, resubmit three sets of plans to the Department of
Community Development for review. These revisions can be accepted via PDF. My email is

INSPECTIONS
If the sign needs structural review, the applicant or installer is required to call the Building Division at 431-3670 for footing or bracket
inspections. Footing inspections must take place before concrete is poured. Bracket inspections must take place before sign is
installed.
A structural inspection is required for all signs when installation is complete. The applicant or installer is required to call the Planning
Division at 431-3670 for a final inspection.
It is the responsibility of the installer to obtain the electrical permit and inspections from the City of Tukwila Permit Center at
(206) 431-3670.
SIGN PERMIT APPLICATION IS VALID FOR 180 DAYS AFTER ISSUANCE.
