ORDINANCE NO. 285
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUh'WILA AMENDING SECTION
ONE OF ORDINANCE NO. 282 OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 29th day of June, 1959, Ordinance
No. 282 was adopted by the Council of the Town of Tukwila, which
said ordinance annexed certain property to the town, and
WHEREAS, when said Ordinance was submitted to the County
Engineer it became apparent that a better description of the area
annexed could be used, and whereas such new description has been
agreed upon, and whereas said new description does not in any manner
change the area annexed to the Town but is merely a more accurate
and comprehensive description of the area as shown upon the sketch
attached to the Petition for Annexation.
Nov, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of Tukwila
as follows:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 282 reading as follows:
"That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Session Laws
of the State of Washington for 1945 the following described property
contiguous to the town limits of the Down of Tukwila, to -wit:
A portion of the North 2 of the Southwest 4 of Section 24,
Township 23 North, Range 4 East W.M.
Beginning at the intersection of the Southwesterly margin of
Pacific.Highway, now known as Secondary State Highway No. 1 -L,
with the centerline of White River, also known as Green River;
thence Southeasterly along said centerline (which is contiguous
to the Southeasterly limits of the Town of Tukwila) to intersect
the. Southwesterly margin of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul
Railway Right of Way; thence Southeasterly along said Right of
Way to the Northerly margin of Nelsen Place; thence Southwesterly
and Southerly along said Northerly margin, and said Northerly
margin produced Southerly, to the Southerly margin of South 153rd
Street; thence Easterly along said Southerly margin to the North
westerly margin of State Highway No. 5 -M Right of Way line; thence
Southwesterly along said Highway night of Way to the most line;

-said point being on the Easterly margin of the Seattle- Tacoma
Puget Sound Right of Way; thence in a straight line to a point on
the Southwesterly line of said State highway No. 1 -L, a distance
of 4'70.01 feet Southeasterly from the Easterly' bank of said River
as measured along said Highway; thence Northwesterly along said
Southwesterly margin of State highway No. 1 -L to point of beginning;
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Towri of Tukwila.

Street; thence Easterly. along said Southerly margin to the North-
westerly margin Of State Highway.No. 1 -L Right of Way line; thence
Southwesterly along said Highway Right of Way to the most South-
erly corner of that certain tract of land conveyed to Taylor
Campbell et tom by deed recorded in volume 2312 of deeds, page 533,
said point being on the Easterly margin of the Seattle- Tacoma
Puget Sound Right of Way; thence in a straight line to a point of
intersection of the Southwesterly line of said State highway No. 1 -L
with the Northerly city limita of the Town of Tukwila as noted in
Ordinance No. 278 said Town; thence Northwesterly along said
Southwesterly margin of State Highway No. 1 -L to point of beginning;
,hall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
Section 11. This ordinance shall ie in full force and effect
immediately after its passage, approval and legal publication as
provided by law.
