Council President Bohrer called the Tukwila City Council Work
Meeting to order at 5:16 P.M.

L. C. BOHRER, Council President; MABEL J. HARRIS, GEORGE D. HILL,
DAN SAUL, GARY L. VAN DUSEN.
Fred Satterstrom, Planning Supervisor.
Council President Bohrer announced the purpose of the Work Meeting
was to consider the proposed zoning ordinance as presented by the
Planning Commission and Office of Community Development. The
discussion started with Chapter 18.28.
The following changes were proposed:
It was suggested Item (1) read: "All previously permitted uses in
the P. 0. district."
MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY VAN DUSEN, THAT TAVERNS BE MOVED
FROM PERMITTED USES WHERE IT IS ITEM (33) TO CONDITIONAL USES.
CARRIED.
MOVED BY VAN DUSEN, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT ITEM (5), CONDITIONAL
USES, BE "VETERINARY HOSPITALS." CARRIED.
MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY VAN DUSEN, THAT ITEM (5), VETERINARY
HOSPITALS, BE FOLLOWED BY WORDS, "EXCLUDING OUTDOOR KENNELS."
CARRIED.
Councilman Traynor arrived at the meeting at 6:30 P.M.
Fred Satterstrom said the Planning Commission had suggested Item (5)
read: "Cocktail lounges, when in association with restaurant
facility."
MOVED BY SAUL, SECONDED BY TRAYNOR, THAT ITEM (12) BE: "COMMERCIAL
RADIO AND TELEVISION STUDIOS BE A PRINCIPALLY PERPM1ITTED USE IN
C -2." CARRIED.
The Planning Commission suggested Item (31) should read: "Wholesale
sales offices or sample rooms less than 50% warehousing."
The zoning ordinance review ended with Section 18.30.070. The
next review will be held on September 11, 1979 and will start with
Chapter 18.34.
ADJOURNMENT MOVED BY TRAYNOR, SECONDED BY HARRIS, THAT THE TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL
8:30 P.M. WORK MEETING ADJOURN. CARRIED.
