They filled out the wrong application — and was issued an electrical permit — EL13-1012. They then received a notice regarding a final inspection, called me, and/that is when I pulled the file and saw that they probably filled out the wrong application and it was not caught by anyone (here or at their office). In the meantime, it appears another person form Ambient pulled the correct mechanical —M13-179 — which has been finaled. The electrical work was done by Demaree Services under EL13-1177 Is there a way we can refund the $537 we charged Ambient for the incorrect permit? Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days.
