1.Introductions were made.
2.Rating Tools from the Cities of Federal Way, Redmond, Auburn, Kent, and Renton were reviewed.
3.Members discussed/agreed to change Tukwila’s rating tool to a format similar to Redmond’s. Tukwila’s new
rating tool will reflect a three columns table format. The first column will have different review categories that
are weighed according to importance and include multiple questions per category. The second column will be
for comments, and the third will reflect the score that members assign. Members agreed a 100-point scale
would accurately reflect the value of the RFP. The board would also like the Human Services Statement of
Purpose on the top of the rating tool, and the City of Tukwila’s Visions and Values at the bottom on the rating
tool. Member’s stressed the importance of program accessibility for Tukwila residents and want to expand
accessibility questions to reflect their emphasis. Members agreed that more in-depth questions on budgets
and service units was critical – especially for new programs requesting funding.
4.Member’s agreed that reading RFP’s already uploaded into iPads would be the most cost efficient, and
convenient way to read RFP’s.
