Project Description:
The City of Tukwila and it's contractor, Active Construction, have been working on street improvements
along 42" Avenue South from Southcenter Boulevard (South 154th Street) to South 160th Street. The
work at Gilliam Creek has been delayed and the following milestones are currently expected for project
construction (subject to weather and utility companies' work schedules):
• By late April 2018, we plan to create a temporary, non -ADA compliant pedestrian access across
the culvert to allow north/south pedestrian travel through the project.
• By late June 2018, we plan to have the base asphalt paving completed.
• In July 2018, the utility cutover work will begin. The duration of this work is being determined
through utility coordination with the affected utilities.
• By early October 2018, we plan to have the final asphalt paving completed.
