Please show your child the safest routes and teach them good safety habits, such as: 1. to stop at every corner and look all ways for oncoming vehicles before crossing; 2. to walk quickly, but don't run; 3. to use crosswalks, stop signs, traffic signals, school patrols, and adult crossing guards; 4. where no walkways are provided, walk on the left side of the roadway as far off the travelled part of the roadway as possible, facing approaching traffic.
