CALL TO ORDER: Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

A. Transportation Demand Management Program Update
Staff presented current status and activities of the Transportation Demand Management (TDM)
Program
The
program currently has four sources of grant funding: Washington State Commute Trip Reduction
Program (74K), King County Metro Regional Mobility Grant (75k), Federal Highway
Administration Regional Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Improvement Grant (270k), and
WSDOT Commute Trip Innovations Grant (150K). The TDM program is leveraging grant funds to
develop innovative ways to achieve its goals, including
Hopelink, and outreach to small employers. TDM participates in community events and has
implemented minor capital improvements such as bike rakes. DISCUSSION ONLY.
B. Annual Update on Tukwila Works
Staff presented an overview of the current state of the Tukwila Works program, which is a tool
that allows residents to submit issues and concerns to the City
From June 2016 through August 31, 2018, 2,659 issues have been reported and 94% of users are
constituents. Average response time in 2018
Reports are coming in from all neighborhoods and the most commonly reported issues are illegal
parking, garbage/debris, and camping. The City is currently working on integrating Tukwila
Works with the Lucity asset management software being implemented in Public Works, and is
considering integrating it with the existing GIS system. Councilmember Idan asked if these
integrations would have associated costs. Staff will report back. DISCUSSION ONLY.
