Welcome and Introductions
Chair Hougardy welcomed
everyone to the meeting and
asked everyone to go around
the room introducing
themselves.
Approval of Agenda
Motion made to approve
agenda. Passed 6-0.
2019 Lodging Tax Applications,
Overview of Process
B. Miles provided an overview
of the application process for
2019. He noted that some
applications for 2019 will start
coming to the LTAC at its
November 13 meeting.
CM Hougardy asked that a
budget be provided as part of
the application process.
Restaurant Week
Andrea Reay, Seattle Southside
Chamber and Ashely Comar,
SSRTA, provided a presentation
regarding "Seattle Southside

B. Miles noted that this will
likely be a funding request next
month and he wanted the LTAC
to see it before a formal
request was made for the
funding. The purpose of this
briefing is for LTAC to ask
questions and to provide
details on what it might want
to see with the request.
LTAC members and staff asked
a variety of question. What is
the fiscal plan for the project to
make it sustainable? What
about sponsors? How will
success be measured? What
restaurants will be involved?
Are other cities contribute
funds?

R. Eaton provided an overview
of Tukwila Pond. He discussed

it could become. N. Gierloff
discussed how the Pond fits in
with the overall development
plans for the Southcenter
District. Following the meeting,
LTAC members walked with
staff to view the current
conditions of the Pond.

LTAC members went around
the table providing highlights
of things impacted their
businesses and things an the
horizon.
