Others Present: Ashley Comar, SSRTA and Andrea Reay, Seattle Southside Chamber Meeting Start Time: 1:07 P.M. Meeting End Time: 2:30 P.M Agenda Item Notes Follow -Up Welcome and Introductions Chair Hougardy welcomed everyone to the meeting and asked everyone to go around the room introducing themselves. Approval of Agenda Motion made to approve agenda. Passed 6-0. 2019 Lodging Tax Applications, Overview of Process B. Miles provided an overview of the application process for 2019. He noted that some applications for 2019 will start coming to the LTAC at its November 13 meeting. CM Hougardy asked that a budget be provided as part of the application process. Restaurant Week Andrea Reay, Seattle Southside Chamber and Ashely Comar, SSRTA, provided a presentation regarding "Seattle Southside • Staff is going to research a wayfinding City of Tukwila 6200 Southcenter Blvd. Tukwila, WA 98188 TKI;wila Dine -Around Month." This and signage program activity would be similar to for the City. "Seattle Restaurant Week" and • Discussion on creating a "Dine Around Seattle." reserve policy for the ending fund balance. Seattle Southside Dine Around Month will include marketing on TV, radio, local blogs, social media, etc. SSRTA and the Chamber will both put on the event. Funds required are $44,000 for SSRTA and $44,000 for the Chamber. Final approval of funding can be no later than November 15, 2018. B. Miles noted that this will likely be a funding request next month and he wanted the LTAC to see it before a formal request was made for the funding. The purpose of this briefing is for LTAC to ask questions and to provide details on what it might want to see with the request. LTAC members and staff asked a variety of question. What is the fiscal plan for the project to make it sustainable? What about sponsors? How will success be measured? What restaurants will be involved? Are other cities contribute funds? Tukwila Pond Vision, Overview, and Discussion R. Eaton provided an overview of Tukwila Pond. He discussed City of Tukwila 6200 Southcenter Blvd. Tukwila, WA 98188 the current situation and what it could become. N. Gierloff discussed how the Pond fits in with the overall development plans for the Southcenter District. Following the meeting, LTAC members walked with staff to view the current conditions of the Pond.
