Council Chambers FLAG SALUTE AND CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL OF COUNCIL MEMBERS OFFICIALS IN ATTENDANCE BID AWARD: Christensen Green- belt Park, Phase II Bestway Truck Terminal Final Waiver ADJOURNMENT: 7:00 P.M. Special Meeting M I N U T E S Mayor Todd, presiding, led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order. He stated that he had called the Special Meeting to discuss (1) Bid award for Christensen Greenbelt, Phase II; and (2) The final waiver approval for the Bestway Truck Terminal. LIONEL C. BOHRER, MABEL J. HARRIS, GEORGE D. HILL, J. REID JOHANSON, DORIS E. PHELPS, DANIEL J. SAUL, Council President, GARY L. VAN DUSEN. JACOB MACIAS, Grants Coordinator; MAXINE ANDERSON, City Clerk. c4 7 .3 MOVED BY SAUL, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT LANDSCAPE, INC. BE AWARDED THE CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,990 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II, CHRISTENSEN GREENBELT PARK.* Councilman Bohrer asked what the period of construction is? Councilman Hill said he believed it was a 60 day construction period. They are trying to get it done before the first of the year. Councilman Bohrer asked if the property owner has laid the base for the trail per the agreement. Mayor Todd said he believes that is finished. Councilman Bohrer asked what the budgetted amount for the project is? Councilman Hill said he thought $54,000 or $55,000. *MOTION CARRIED. Councilman Bohrer said Council has not had a chance to discuss this subject, as no representative for the applicant was present at the October 27 meeting. MOVED BY BOHRER, SECONDED BY SAUL, THAT THIS ITEM BE PUT FORWARD TO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE AGENDA AS ITEM NO. 4A.* Mayor Todd said the applicant has been waiting a considerable time for Council to hear this. This was put on the Special Meeting agenda because it is just a formality. The Planning Staff is prepared to testify that they have met the conditions of the waiver as specified by Council. They want to get started. Mayor Todd requested that Council listen to the Planning Director's recommendation and act on this waiver. ROLL CALL VOTE: BOHRER YES HARRIS YES HILL NO JOHANSON YES PHELPS NO SAUL YES VAN DUSEN NO *4 -YES; 3 NO. MOTION CARRIED.
