Call To Order: Chair Scott Kruize called the meeting to order at 5:42 pm Z. Agenda and Approval Minutes: Steve Miller agenda and the October Z, ZU19,Marie Parrish seconded the motion and there was unanimousapprovai 4. Citizen Comment: None ~� 5. Unfinished Business: a. The Boardd |an. Marie Parrish made a motion to accept the proposed workplan for 2019,, Steve Miller seconded the motion. 6. New Business: a. Bookmarks and Landmarks: Barbara McMichael, a representative of 4Culture,d Executive Director with SoCo Culture orovided''an overview of SoCo Culture and shared information about the Bookmarksand Landmarks Program. The program strives to connect people to interesting landmarks Withiln the community. The group asked a few questions to ask about their role and if they were to take this on. It was clarified the group would need to identify the site. TLAB would be involved in the book group and could host the program. Marie Parrish felt it may be too short of a notice for 2019 and it, may be necessary to have someone step up to take the reins. After discussion, the Board decided they would take this project on in 2019. Gerie Ventura said she will take this on and lead on behalf of the Board. She will work with the Tukwila Historical Society to try to identify a site. 7. Reports: a. KCLS: An8e|inaBenedettidisthbutedtheKCLSpre|iminarybud8etandprovidedanovervievvofthe budget. She provided information on upcoming KCLS budget hearings being held throughout November. Ms. Benedetti also distributed November programming for the Tukwila Library. b. Tukwila Parks and Recreation: Provided areview ofthe Harvest Carnival and the Spirit ofGiving Campaign. She thanked the Board for supporting both events. The need for Spirit ofGiving ishigh this year and TLAB's support will go a long way towards helping Tukwila children and families. 8. Other 1|Page 9.
