Dear Mr. Johannessen, I am in receipt of your comment letter #1 and have addressed those as follows; 1,2 The washer and dryer are both commercial appliances. The venting for the dryer will be via a separate mechanical permit which will address the vertical piping and draw of the system. The vertical height of the roof is under 18 feet. This has been accomplished on another project (Oakwood) in Gateway North with no problems. The separate permits are noted on sheet SD-1. 3. The SD-1 sheet has been changed to reflect the 2012 IBC. Joanna 1 City of Tukwila Department of Community Development March 13, 2014 David Kehle, Architect 1913 Bonair Dr SW Seattle, WA 98116 RE: Correction Letter # 1 Permit Application Number D14-0075 GCA Services Group - 12622 Interurban Ave S Dear DAVID KEHLE, ARCHITECT, Jim Haggerton, Mayor Jack Pace, Director This letter is to inform you of corrections that must be addressed before your development permit can be approved. All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the following departments: BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Allen Johannessen at 206-433-7163 if you have questions regarding these comments. 1. The plans show a washer and dryer room in the center of the building. The concern is the length of the dryer duct meeting coded for distance and also where it will be exhausted out to where it won't become a nuisance to the walkways or other areas where it shall be exhausted. Please provide a revision for the laundry room and provide specifications for the dryer duct for code compliance. 2. The new TI will also require plumbing and mechanical permits. Provide a mechanical plan showing the new mechanical layout to include the ducting for the bathrooms and laundry. The plumbing plan may be included with the revised plan or be a deferred and provided with the plumbing permit. 3. Building code is referenced as 2009 codes on the front sheet. Provide the current 2012 IBC code references. Please address the attached comments in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation. The City requires that four (4) sets of revised plan pages, specifications and/or other documentation be resubmitted with the appropriate revision block. In order to better expedite your resubmittal, a 'Revision Submittal Sheet' must accompany every resubmittal. I have enclosed one for your convenience. Corrections/revisions must be made in person and will not be accepted through the mail or by a messenger service. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 206-433-7165.
