Our staff observed the following portions of construction relative to the condenser rack installation: • Proprietary anchor installation; and • High strength bolting. Kleinfelder's ICC certified special inspectors performed the above listed inspections and testing services between the dates of May 6, 2014 and May 22, 2014. Based upon our observation of these work elements, written reports during site visits, it is our professional opinion that the above observed work was performed, to the best of our knowledge, in accordance with the engineer-of—record's recommendations, the approved plans, specification, and the applicable workmanship provisions of the International Building Code. LIMITATIONS Test results or special inspections and observations reported are those existing at the time of our services and may not be the same or comparable at other times. Installation of the rebar dowels per the manufacturer's recommended installation procedure and per general notes and detail A on S2.1. • Note: I observed the west end beam connection top right hole could not be installed due to electrical conduit and contractor is in progress of getting a field fix from the engineer. Framing erections is complete and framing members are connection with a/.' A325 galvanized bolts. The bolts have been tightened to a snug tight condition and are acceptable per project plans and specifications with the following exceptions 1. Two bolts on the south east comer are short — at the tightened condition the bolts not at the least flush with the top of the nut. 2. The bolts connecting braces to the frame are not galvanized. 3. The nuts for the anchor bolts connecting the framing to the building are not tightened. Re -inspection of the following items is required once completed or corrected. B: Anchor Bolt Installation — I observed the contractor install one 5/8" anchor bolt for the bottom inside anchor to the hollow cmu wall at the beam on the south end. The contractor drilled holes and blew it clean with compressed air. An epoxy screen insert was placed in the holed and filled with Simpson Set 22 adhesive epoxy prior to setting the anchor bolt in place.
