Applications must be completed at the Tukwila Community Center on Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Deposits MUST be paid at the time the application is submitted. If for some reason the City must cancel an event, a refund will be given. However, if the event is canceled by the Applicant, a refund will be granted only if the Parks and Recreation Department is notified 48 hours prior to the scheduled usage. THE ISSUANCE OF THIS PERMIT DOES NOT GIVE THE USER ANY SPECIAL RIGHT TO VIOLATE ANY LAW OR REGULATION. The event may be scheduled up to one year in advance. Application must be filed at least 4 weeks prior to the date of the proposed event. All Applications are subject to approval. Applications filed Tess than 4 weeks and up to 2 weeks prior to the proposed event date will be "Late". If the "Late" application is accepted, a non-refundable "Late Fee" of $25 will be imposed. "Late Fees" shall be payable by cash, certified check, bank or postal money order. Applications will not be accepted within 2 weeks prior to the requested event date. Applications must be completed by a qualified adult who represents and has the authority to bind the organization requesting use of City facilities to the terms of this permit. Applicant shall restore the area to the condition in which it is found. Any damage directly relating to the Applicant's use of the park/area will result in a claim for damages to the Applicant and/or denial of further use. Failure to clean the park/area or replace equipment may result in the loss of part or all of the damage deposit. Applicant must adhere to all applicable rules and regulation (i.e. Park rules). INSURANCE INFORMATION The City of Tukwila does not maintain insurance that will respond to claims against the applicant arising out of the use of facilities by the applicant, its members, or those attending the event. Depending on the size and/or activity of your group, you may be required to be covered by bodily injury and property damage liability insurance ($1, 000, 000.00) and are responsible for obtaining said insurance. The City shall be designated as a payee in the insurance policy, in the event City property is damaged. Please attach proof of insurance, if required.
