Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days. Unbeknownst to me, my salesperson and the property owner applied for this permit. I also applied for an elecrical permit EL-14-1084, which is the one we did the work under and has since been finalled. Since EL14-1038 was a duplicate, can you cancel it? See Teri's notes above. I'm not concerned about a refund of the fee's but I don't feel comfortable having the permit just expire.
