Per the International Building, Residential, and Mechanical Codes as well as the Uniform Plumbing Code and/or the National Electric Code, every permit application not issued within 180 days from the date of application shall expire and become null and void. Currently your application has a status of APPROVED and is due to expire 11/25/2015. If you still plan to pursue your project, you are hereby advised to do one of the following: 1) If the plan review is completed for the project and your application is approved, you may pick up the application before the date of expiration. At the time of permit issuance the expiration date will automatically be extended 180 days. -or- 2) If the plan review is not completed submit a written request for application extension (7) seven days in advance of the expiration date. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for the need to extend your application. The Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of up to 90 days. If it is determined that your extension request is granted, you will be notified by mail. In the event that your permit is not issued, we do not receive your written request for extension, or your request is denied your permit application will expire and your project will require a new permit application, plans and specifications, and associated fees.
