The exhaust shall be located a minimum of 3 feet from openings and 10 feet above the walking surface. Revise the plan that clearly identifies all registers, details for duct and register installation in the ceiling as well as wall or roof penetrations. Details shall show ducts and registers seismically secured to the ceiling and structure above. Plan specifications shall include the listings for that fan and shall be sized for that specific duct installation. Provide sizing and material specifications for type of ducts. Each station shall be provided with a source capture system capable of exhausting not less than 50 cfm per station. A source of outdoor air supply shall be specified. Plan design shall be require a design professional or mechanical contractor familiar with designing and sizing mechanical exhaust systems. Provide a revised plan professionally drawn as specified above. (IMC Section 403 & Table 403.3) 2. Specify if the stacked washer and dryer is new on the plan and show where the dryer shall exhaust to the outside with complete details for penetrations and locations of exhaust duct per mechanical code. Please address the comments above in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation. The City requires that two (2) sets of revised plan pages, specifications and/or other documentation be resubmitted with the appropriate revision block.
