cases less then 3 hours! This "true" inversion
method allows the Perma-LateralTM lining
materials to negotiate 22's, 45's and sweeping

accordance with ASTM D695, ASTM D638 Type 1I, and ASTM D790 Method 1 Procedure A. A Support Span -to -Depth
Ratio of 16 to 1 was used as specified in the test standard ASTM D790. Thickness measurements, compressive strength,
tensile strength, tensile modulus, flexural stress and flexural modulus of elasticity tests were performed on the sample.
Five (5) specimens were cut and tested from the sample- The results summarized and reported below are averages of the
five (5) specimens. A test report for the sample is attached.

I..WR NO.: 18010-R1 nATI::: April 21 2009
BACKGROUND: Customer submitted two (2) samples of 4" PVC (SDR) pipe for flow rate /
calculations and comparison analysis. The samples arrived on 03/20/2009 via
customer supplied courier. Visual inspection was performed on 03/23/2009 and
no product defects were noted. Samples submitted to compare theoretical values
of friction loss for PVC unlined sewer pipe versus lined PVC-FRP pipe. Testing
in accordance with customer P.O. # 15357 received on 03/18/2009 and signed
CRT quotation dated 03/19/2009.
REVISIONS: Additions to this report include data from CRT LWR-16149 (02/14/2005)

COMMENTARY:
RESULTS:
Sample description: 1) Charlotte Pipe 4" PVC Sewer pipe (un-lined)
2) Charlotte Pipe 4" PVC- FRP Sewer pipe (lined)
Flow (q) — Manning formula and Williams -Hazen formula
Coefficients of flow — PPI Technical Reports
Maximum flow rate (gpm) — CRT / ANSI methods
Flow Rate Calculation (gpm) — CRT method
According to CRT's calculations (and related formulated calculations) PVC
sewer pipe product flows better than PVC-FRP sewer pipe with a joint every
10-feet due to the smoothness of the interior and the lack of turbulence..
Friction loss was minimized, which signifies that the lining system is very
efficient. However, respective municipalities have the ultimate decision of
acceptance.
Test results are shown in the attached data table(s), attached.
