AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKiIILA ANNEXING PROPERTY TO
THE CITY OF TUKWILA UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 123 OF
THE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945.
WHEREAS, unaer the provisions of Chapter 123 of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 a petition, in writing,
asking for the annexation of certain property contiguous to the
town limits of the Town of Tukwila, hereinafter more particularly
described, has been filed with the Town Council, signed by the
owners of not less than 75 per cent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, which petition sets forth a legal
description of the property and was accompanied by plat or drawing,
outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has heretofore fixed April 14, 1959,
at the hour of :OO P. in the Council Chambers in the Town Hall,
Tukwila, Yashington, as the time and place for public hearing upon
such petition, ana a copy of said notice was published in the Seattle
Times, a legal newspaper of general circulation in the Town of
Tukwila, and was posted in three public places within the territory
proposed for annexation, which notices specified the time and place
of such hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice
approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said hearing, the Council
approved the petition for annexation and set midnight, April 13.,
1959, as the effective date of annexation,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of Tukwila,
as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
Session Laws of tine State of Washington for 1945 the following
described property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of
Tukwila, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly bank of the Green River,
which is the present Easterly limits of the Town of Tukwila, at its
intersection with the Westerly extension of the Northerly line of
the South 990 feet of the of the Northwest of Section
25, Township 23 North, Range 4 Last W.1,".; thence Northerly along said
River bank in said oection 25 and in Section 24, Township 23 North,
Range 4 East V.::; -i. to an intersection with a line which bears South
35°36'00" \:aest from the most Northerly corner of that certain tract
of land conveyed to Anker Andersen and nose Andersen, known as Tax
Lot 40 said corner being a point on the Southerly margin of the
Pacific Hi uhway now known as Highway No. 1 -L.
Thence boutheasterly in a straight line to the most Southerly
corner of that certain tract of land conveyed to Taylor Campbell
and flilda Campbell, husband and wife, by deed recorded in Volume
2312 of Deeds on page 533, under Auditor's t "ile No. 3450463,
records of King County, being the intersection of the Easterly
margin of the rigt_t of way of the old Seattle- Tacoma Puget Sound
Llectric Railroad with the Northerly margin of the overpass on
secondary State ighway No. 1 -L, (known as Renton Junction Way);
t.cence Easterly along said margin to an intersection with the West-
erly margin of the Joint Korthern Pacific and Great Northern Railway
Company, right of way; thence Southerly along said Westerly margin
to the i'ortl.i line of the Bow Lake Pipe Line as described in deed to
the City of Seattle, recorded April 27, 1951, under Auditor's rile
No. 4131067, records of King County; thence West along said North
line to the Easterly .margin of Secondary State Highway No. 5 -M
Olest Valley .load); thence outherly along said margin to a point
which is due East of the point of beginning; thence due West to the
point of beginning;

sECT1ui\ 11. The suits annexation shall be effective on and after
mianignt April 13, 1959, and from anu after said date property shall
be subject to all the laws and ordi.ances of the Town of Tukwila
then and thereafter in force.
SECTIK 111. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication
as provided by law.

We, the undersigned, owners of not less than 75% in value aceof°d-
irg to the assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property
hereinafter described, a plat of which is hereto attached shoaing the
boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, do hereby petition
for annexation to the Town of Tukwila of the following described
property, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the Westernly bank of the Green River, which
is the present Easterly limits of the Town of Tukwila, at its inter-
section with the Westerly extension of the Northerly line of the South
990 feet of the Southeast e of the Northwest t of Section 25, Township
23 North, Range 4 East W.M.; thence Northerly along said River bank in
said S ection 25 and in Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 4 East W.M.
to an intersection with a line which bears South 35 36'00" ;Vert from
the most Northerly corner of that certain tract of land cor_veyea. to Anker
Andersen and Rose Andersen, known as Tax Lot #40, said corner being a
point on the Southerly margin of the Pacific Highway now known as high-
way No. 1 -L.
Thence South Easterly in a straight line to the most Southerly
corner of that certain tract of land conveyed to Taylor Campbell end
Hilda Campbell, husband and wife, by deed recorded in Volume 2312 or
Deeds on page 533, under Auditor's File no. 3450463, records of King
County, being the intersection of the Easterly margin of the right of
way of the old Seattle- Tacoma Puget Sound Electric Railroad with the
Northerly margin of the overpass on Secondary State Highway No. .--L,
(known as Renton Junction Way); thence Easterly along said margin to an
intersection with the Westerly margin of the Joint Northern P' aif is arid

said Westerly margin to the North line of the Bow Lake Pipe Line as
described indeed to the City of Seattle, recorded April 27, 1951,
under Auditor's File No. 4131067, records of King County; thence est

Which area is contiguous to the Town of Tukwila, King County, State
